Once your survey has been published and sent to respondents, you have the ability to examine the survey results of each individual survey. In addition to viewing your results within WebSurveyor, you also have the option of exporting your results for viewing. This page will explain how you can view your results, as well as demonstrate how you can export these results.
Viewing Survey Results in WebSurveyor
After your respondents have completed your survey, you may view the results within WebSurveyor. In order to do this, follow the instructions below:
- Log into WebSurveyor.
- Click on the Analyze link in the Navigation Pane.
- Click the Update Results button to update your survey results. Your survey results can now be displayed in the browser a number of ways. To view results of individual questions, select each question from the Question: drop-down menu.
- If you wish to view your results in a browser window, click on the Report link in the Navigation Pane, and select the questions you wish to include in the report.
- Click the Generate Now button, and your results will now be displayed in a new browser window.
Exporting Survey Results in WebSurveyor
In addition to viewing your survey results in a web browser, you also have the ability to export your data for viewing. In order to do this, please follow the steps below:
- Log into WebSurveyor.
- Click on the Analyze link in the Navigation Pane.
- Click the Update Results button to update your survey results.
- Click on the Export Data link in the Navigation Pane.
- Select the questions you wish to include in the exported data;
- Select the formatting options and character set.
- Select appropriate delimiting method for the file type (Comma Separated Values or Tab Delimited Text File).
- Click the Submit button. You will then be prompted to either view the file or save it to your workstation.
- Save the file to your workstation.
Viewing Exported Data in Excel
- Launch Microsoft Excel.
- From the Data menu, select Import External Data | Import Data.
- Browse to your saved data, and select Open.
- Navigate your way through the text Import Wizard by changing the Data type to delimited, and change the data delimiter to Comma.
- Click Finish. Your data will now be displayed in an Excel spreadsheet for your viewing.
