WebSurveyor:  How do I share my survey with other WebSurveyor users?

Once you have created a survey in WebSurveyor, you have the ability to share your survey with other WebSurveyor users, by using the Share Survey tool.  However, it is important to understand that using the Share Survey tool in WebSurveyor will only allow other WebSurveyor users to view your survey - they will not be able to make modifications to the survey, share the shared survey with others or download a copy to their desktop.  In order to allow for more than one account holder to have full access right to modify and publish a survey, you will need a Departmental Account rather than an Individual Account.

If you only wish to make your survey viewable to another WebSurveyor user, then please follow the first set of instructions listed in the steps below (WebSurveyor's Share Survey Tool).  However, if you wish to make a copy of your survey for another WebSurveyor user to upload to their account, please follow the second set of instructions below (Create a Copy of Your Survey).

WebSurveyor's Share Survey Tool:

  1. Log into WebSurveyor.
  2. Select the survey you wish to share and select Edit to make modifications to your survey.
  3. Click on the Share Survey button .
  4. In the Share Survey screen, enter the Sub-Account name or Last Name of the person you wish to share the survey with, and click the Search button.
  5. Select the account you wish to share your survey with from the results displayed, and click Share

Your survey has now been shared, and can be accessed by other users from their Dashboard.

Create a Copy of Your Survey:

  1. Log into WebSurveyor.
  2. From the Dashboard, select the survey you wish to download, and click the Edit link.
  3. Click the Download button in the Navigation Pane.
  4. When you are asked to select the version of the survey you would like to download, select Published Version and click the Submit button.
Please note:  If you have not yet published your survey, or have made changes since you last published your survey, you will need to select the Working Version.
  5. When you are asked if you would like to open or save the file, select Save.
Please note: Where your file is saved will depend on which browser you are using.  For example, Firefox automatically saves your survey to the desktop location and Internet Explorer will allow you to choose.

Your survey and results have now been saved to your desktop.  You can then e-mail the *.wsx file to the WebSurveyor user who would like to upload a copy of the survey to their account.
