WebSurveyor Account Information


How do I acquire an account for WebSurveyor?

In order to obtain a user ID and password, you will need to request one from its-survey@uiowa.edu.  Please include your name, contact information and who the user ID is for.

 

Who is eligible for a WebSurveyor account?

Generally, any person with a Hawk ID is eligible for a WebSurveyor account. To determine eligibility, please contact its-survey@uiowa.edu.

 

Who do I contact for assistance with WebSurveyor?

If you are having problems with the creation, modification, publishing or any aspect of your survey, please contact its-survey@uiowa.edu.  Support information is also available at http://cs.its.uiowa.edu/sda/survey/index.shtml.

 

How long will my WebSurveyor account remain active?

In general, WebSurveyor accounts will remain active for approximately one year.

 

Is it possible for me to have more than one user account for WebSurveyor?

Each WebSurveyor is tied to a user's email address.  That being said, only one user account can be associated with each e-mail address.  If you would like to create a WebSurveyor account for your department, it is best to associate the departments e-mail address with that account.

 

I have forgotten my password. How do I obtain a new one?

If you have forgotten your WebSurveyor password, please contact its-survey@uiowa.edu in order to obtain a new one.

 

How do I change my password?

To change your survey@iowa password, you will first need to log into https://survey.uiowa.edu.  After you have logged in, click on My Account and then Update Password.

 

Are WebSurveyor IDs and passwords case-sensitive?

No, user IDs and passwords are not case sensitive.

 

Is there a limit to the number of surveys I publish?

No, there is not a limit to the number of surveys you publish with your WebSurveyor account.

 

I participated in the pilot program and was assigned a user ID and password to create surveys.  Is this account still valid?

No, the user ID and password that was assigned to you during the pilot phase is no longer valid.  To acquire a new user ID and password, please contact its-survey@uiowa.edu.

 

How many attempts to login to my account can I make before being locked out completely?

There is no limit to the number of login attempts.  Once the correct login password is used, access will be allowed.
