Survey and Desktop Applications

Welcome. The Survey and Desktop Applications service provides technical consulting support to The University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students.

We are happy to announce the rollout of WebSurveyor, an online data collection service available to the University of Iowa community.  In addition to WebSurveyor support, we also provide end-user support for the following applications:

MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and FileMaker Pro.

We also provide consulting support for students who are writing a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation.

Our purpose is to assist university customers in the effective use of the integrated Office tools on the PC or Mac.

Office 2007 Life After Guides Now Available

Microsoft has released its latest version of productivity software. Back by popular demand, ITS-Survey and Desktop Application Services, has just released its Life After Word 2003 Guide (.pdf).

Windows and Office Updates

Microsoft has released Service Pack 2 for Office 2007.  Please click here to learn more about SP2 and how to obtain it.

The Survey and Desktop Application group recommends that people using any Microsoft Office or Windows product run both Windows Update and Office Update on a regular basis.

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac
