LDAP and Windows Address Book
Configuring Address Book to use LDAP
- Choose Start | Programs | Accessories | Address Book.
- Select Tools | Accounts.
- Click on the Add button.

In the "Internet directory (LDAP) server" field type: directory.uiowa.edu
Note: Do not check e-mail addresses via the address book. We recommend configuring the e-mail application to look directly at the LDAP server.
5. To change the search base, select the new Account, click on the Properties button, and click on the Advanced tab. Set the "Search base" to: ou=people, o=university of iowa, c=us

6. Click on the Find People icon to search the Windows Address Book.
