Transferring Messages from a OWA Folder to a Eudora Mailbox
If you use OWA when you travel, you may choose to move new incoming mail, that you want to keep, from your Inbox folder to another OWA folder. When you return home, you may want to move those messages from a OWA folder to a Eudora POP mailbox. You can temporarily switch from POP to IMAP to easily transfer messages from a OWA folder to a Eudora mailbox.
- Launch Eudora and select Tools | Options | Incoming Mail.
- Change "Server configuration:" from POP to IMAP.
- You will be prompted to enter your password again.
- Additional mailboxes will now display under the <Dominant> folder in the Mailboxes window. These are IMAP mailboxes and reside on the mail server. In OWA, these same mailboxes display as Mail items and folders.
- Open the IMAP mailbox (e.g.,OWA-Saved) where the messages you want to move are located.
- Select the messages you want to transfer and drag & drop them to one of your POP mailboxes (e.g., Keep) or you can select a mailbox from the Transfer menu.
- When you have finished moving messages you want to keep, select Tools | Options | Incoming Mail and set "Server configuration:" back to POP. The <Dominant> folder and the mailboxes under it will disappear.
